INVITATION FOR SUBMISSIONS TO THE ICFS 2025 SPECIAL ISSUE
Dear ICFS 2025 Presenters,
Greetings from the International Conference on Food Security 2025 (ICFS 2025).
We sincerely appreciate your participation and contribution to the success of ICFS 2025.
We are pleased to invite ICFS 2025 presenters to submit full papers based on their conference presentations for consideration in a special issue in one of the following journals:
- Asia-Pacific Journal of Science and Technology (APST)
- Journal of Nutrition and Food Security (JNFS)
For both journals, the ICFS 2025 Scientific Committee will conduct an initial screening of submitted manuscripts. Only selected manuscripts will be invited for submission to the journal via the journal’s online submission system. An invitation letter from ICFS 2025 will be provided and must be uploaded during online submission.
Manuscripts selected by the ICFS 2025 Scientific Committee and submitted to APST or JNFS will be subject to the journal’s standard peer-review process, including editorial screening and independent expert review. Final decisions regarding acceptance or rejection rest solely with the respective journals.
For the initial screening, manuscripts must be submitted in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats by email to scientific.icfs2025@ums.edu.my no later than 31 July 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
Please name the manuscript file using the following format:
Journal Abbreviation-ICFS 2025 – Presenter Name (Corresponding Author Name)
Examples:
APST-ICFS 2025 – Ian Wilkinson (Ian Wilkinson)
JNFS-ICFS 2025 – Ian Wilkinson (Ian Wilkinson)
Please use the manuscript filename as the email subject line.
There are no article processing charges (APC) for publication in APST or JNFS. The list of ICFS 2025 presentations has been shared with both journals.
Please note that each manuscript may be submitted to only one journal: either APST or JNFS.
APST-ICFS 2025 Special Issue
Authors must follow the APST Instructions for Authors and prepare their manuscripts using the APST Template Guidelines available on the APST website:

Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines will not be considered.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of the initial screening by the ICFS 2025 Scientific Committee by 31 August 2026.
The APST-ICFS 2025 Special Issue will be published only if a minimum of 17 manuscripts are accepted. If this number is not reached, accepted manuscripts will be published in regular issues on a first-accepted, first-published basis.
Publication of the special issue is subject to the successful completion of the journal’s review and editorial process and compliance with the special issue requirements.

Authors must follow the Manuscript Preparation guidelines available on the JNFS website:

Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s guidelines will not be considered.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of the initial screening after the screening process is complete.
Publication of the JNFS-ICFS 2025 Special Issue is subject to the successful completion of the journal’s review process and compliance with the journal’s requirements.
