Description

ABSTRACT: This study aims to identify the level of stress and the influencing factors among the university students based on family income categories. A total of 177 students from various public universities (UA) in Malaysia were selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The responses were recorded through a five-point Likert scale, and were analysed by using descriptive and inference methods, and are using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the Aggregate analysis revealed that the overall stress level among the public university students across all income categories was moderate. In terms of influencing factors, academic-related stress emerged as the primary contributor to stress across the general sample. The overall study is integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI). The stress score measurement system can be codified, and with specific programmed instructions, it can produce systematic results. These results can serve as a guide for lecturers or the students themselves in determining appropriate follow-up actions.
