The 1st International Borneo–MAEMHS Health Professions Education Conference (IBHPEC 2027) is a premier international platform that brings together educators, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, industry partners, and students to shape the future of health professions education.

Hosted by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, in collaboration with the Malaysian Association of Education in Medical and Health Sciences (MAEMHS), IBHPEC 2027 will be held from 20–22 April 2027 in the vibrant city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Under the theme "Reimagining Planetary Health and Values-Driven Education Through Digital Innovation" the conference explores how health professions education can respond to today's global challenges through transformative teaching, community engagement, technological innovation, and socially accountable practice.

IBHPEC 2027 will feature distinguished international and local speakers through keynote addresses, plenary sessions, symposiums, panel discussions, workshops, and scientific presentations. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, showcase innovative research, and foster collaborations that advance health professions education across disciplines.
