About the 5th ICLALIS 2026
The 5th International Conference on Languages, Linguistics and Society (ICLALIS) explores how linguistic diversity shapes accessibility and participation in today’s societies. With an emphasis on sociological and linguistics perspectives, the theme of ICLALIS this year aims to show how language practices intersect with power, mobility, and digital participation. The conference also seeks to bring together review and research on the coexistence of multiple languages within inter-related spaces, such as at home, in schools or institutions, or in the digital realm. By examining these sociological and linguistic domains through everyday communication or digitally mediated interaction, the conference highlights how language both enables and constrains or promotes access to social, civic, and cultural life.
