Description

Inequitable access to information and resources affects consumer awareness, food security, and the adoption of sustainable smart agriculture practices. This abstract explores how these disparities hinder the transition to environmentally friendly and resilient agricultural systems, emphasizing the need to humanize modern agriculture by considering the diverse experiences and challenges faced by different communities.
By examining the state of society – such as social inequalities, cultural differences, and economic barriers - this abstract argues for a more inclusive approach to bridge these gaps. “Humanizing” modern agriculture means acknowledging the voices of underrepresented groups and ensuring equitable access to sustainable agricultural innovations, such as precision farming and IoT-based monitoring. Concurrently, promoting dignity in agriculture means recognizing the right of every community to access safe, nutritious food and participate in sustainable practices. Letting the “state of the society” tell the story calls for inclusive policies that bridge these gaps, creating a fairer, more resilient, and dignified food system for all.
