Over time, mobile devices have transformed into highly advanced mobile computers with a multitude of functionalities. Unfortunately, this advancement has also brought about a major issue - Abnormal Battery Drain (ABD). Despite the widespread use of these devices, there is a concerning lack of attention towards addressing ABD through eco-friendly methods. Research consistently shows that current green marketing techniques do not accurately translate into real-life green practices. This suggests that the intention to adopt environmentally friendly behaviours does not always translate into actual actions. To effectively promote the widespread adoption of green practices, it is crucial that they are seamlessly woven into our daily routines. With this in mind, the present study aims to combine the powerful influences of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and the Normalization Process Theory (NPT) to explore the impact of green sustainability practices on mobile phone’s energy usage. The motive of the theories integration here, is to facilitate tangible behaviour changes that align with sustainability goals. Besides discussing theory, the paper also suggests distributing 500 self-administered surveys to mobile phone users in major cities across Malaysia via snowball sampling method. The information gathered will be evaluated utilizing the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) 4.0 technique. In final section of the paper compile exploration of the limitations and the scope of this research.
