Description

As the financial world digitizes, the digital skills of employees and customers are critical for security and effective governance. The rise of Financial Technology (FinTech) and Regulatory Technology (RegTech) makes it vital to understand the academic research on this human element of digital transformation. However, there is no clear overview connecting the research on digital literacy in finance to the practical domain of compliance, leaving a gap in evidence-based strategies for practitioners. This paper aims to fill this gap by mapping key research trends in digital literacy within finance and discussing their direct implications for the compliance field. This study uses a bibliometric analysis of academic articles from the Scopus database. Software such as VOSviewer will create network visualization maps to illustrate primary research themes, influential authors, and the evolution of the field. This process will reveal the core structure and trends of the research. This study will provide a practical guide for researchers and professionals. By highlighting well-studied areas and identifying significant research gaps, the findings will help inform the development of targeted training programs and evidence-based policies to strengthen financial compliance practices in a digital age.
